What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding means protecting people’s health, well-being, and rights, especially those who may be vulnerable. This includes children, adults at risk, and anyone who may be experiencing abuse or neglect.
What to look out for
- Unexplained injuries or bruising
- Sudden changes in behaviour or mood
- Poor hygiene or signs of neglect
- Someone appearing frightened, withdrawn, or anxious
- Financial concerns or isolation
Speak up – we are here to help
If you have any safeguarding concern about a child or adult – whether it’s a patient, family member, or someone in the community – please speak to a member of our team. You don’t need proof. We take all concerns seriously and will handle them confidentially and with care.
Our services include:
- A trained safeguarding lead onsite
- Confidential conversations
- Support in contacting local safeguarding services
- Information on what to do next
