Safeguarding leaflet

What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding means protecting people’s health, well-being, and rights, especially those who may be vulnerable. This includes children, adults at risk, and anyone who may be experiencing abuse or neglect.

What to look out for

  • Unexplained injuries or bruising
  • Sudden changes in behaviour or mood
  • Poor hygiene or signs of neglect
  • Someone appearing frightened, withdrawn, or anxious
  • Financial concerns or isolation

Speak up – we are here to help

If you have any safeguarding concern about a child or adult – whether it’s a patient, family member, or someone in the community – please speak to a member of our team. You don’t need proof. We take all concerns seriously and will handle them confidentially and with care.

Our services include:

  • A trained safeguarding lead onsite
  • Confidential conversations
  • Support in contacting local safeguarding services
  • Information on what to do next
