Appointment Bookings Changes

Dear Patients,

We are making some changes to the booking of appointments. This is due to the increased pressure we are seeing within our telephone and front desk. We regularly receive over 50 calls within 10 minutes when our lines open and frequently receive over 450 telephone calls per day. This has resulted in many patients coming to the surgery which increases the queue within the practice. In order to try to manage this, from the 6th June we are making the following changes:

• Routine appointments will only be released from 10:00 daily any requests for a routine appointment before this time may be declined.
• Requests for duty doctor remain open all day however please call between 08:00 and 10:00 wherever possible.
• Test results will not be available before 11:00.
• Prescription request cannot be made over the telephone, please use online services, NHS app or a repeat slip brought to the practice.
• Routine enquires, please contact us using our website or telephone after 10:00 when our lines are quieter.
