Change to Requesting Medication

Dear Patients,

We are writing to notify you of a change with how the practice will receive and manage prescriptions as of the 1^st April 2022.

From April 1^st we will no longer be accepting prescriptions that are requested through third parties such as pharmacy2U and Lloyds online. Patients will be required to make a prescription request through one of the following methods.

• NHS App
• SystmOnline – Surgery online services
• In person at the surgery via the prescription drop off boxes

This change is to bring back the control of prescription requesting to the practice and make the process more efficient and safer for our patients and is supported by Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire CCG.

Patients will still receive their prescription from their nominated pharmacy and the change is only in the way the prescriptions are requested.

If you do not currently have access to the NHS App or SystmOnline please go to one of the following pages.

• NHS App – NHS (www.nhs.uk) or your App Store
• Register for Online Services | Barcroft Medical Centre – you will need to provide the practice with proof of you ID
