Family planning
We provide a wide range of contraceptive services and advice. Please discuss this with your GP.
Smoking cessation
For advice and support on stopping smoking via the health trainer, please arrange an appointment.
Minor surgery
Minor operations, for non-cosmetic reasons, are undertaken by Dr Meardon and Dr Hughes. Ask your doctor for advice.
Psychological services
Referrals to this service can be made via your doctor or the practice nurse.
Community nurses
Our community nursing team is responsible for providing skilled home nursing care and support typically for patients who are housebound. Please discuss a referral to this team with your doctor.
Care co-ordinator
We now have a care coordinator working with the practice. She can help you access additional support and services to help you manage your own condition in your own home. Speak to your doctor for further information.
Transforming the care of the elderly
Working with our social prescribers, and following a change in staffing, the coffee club will be resuming shortly and is in the process of being set up. The coffee club will be returning to Barcroft Medical Centre. More details to follow.
Carers
The carers register is kept updated and carers are identified at the point of registration, or by reception staff, nurses and GPs. In addition to support carers, we will be offering the carers/coffee morning club which are currently in the process of being set up.
